When you need to use the DPF solution ?
DPF FILTER
The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) is a crucial replacement part for your vehicle, with a lifespan ranging from 150,000 to 300,000 kilometers, depending on various factors such as engine condition, driving style, and fuel quality. An original DPF can cost up to €3,000, while an aftermarket one can reach €1,500. By regularly using the GerTechTeile DPF solution (every 50,000-100,000 kilometers), you can significantly extend the lifespan of your filter and your vehicle’s engine.
CHEMICAL FORMULA
GerTechTeile DPF features a neutral chemical formula that does not affect the precious metals in the DPF filter (gold, platinum, palladium, rhodium), maintaining its filtering capacity after cleaning. In contrast to other DPF cleaning solutions on the market, which are typically acid-based, solvent-based, or detergent-based, we have analyzed all these solutions over the past 10 years. Most of them react with the aforementioned precious metals, causing oxidation and removal. These solutions result in a filter that remains just a ceramic shell, lacking the ability to filter or retain harmful particles. Consequently, the vehicle will not operate within optimal parameters, will pollute more, and, in the event of an emission inspection, there is a risk of being fined heavily or losing the right to drive in European countries.
FUEL ECONOMY
Cleaning the DPF filter with GerTechTeile can result in significant fuel savings. If your vehicle normally consumes 10 liters per 100 kilometers and you drive 50,000 kilometers per year, using GerTechTeile DPF can reduce consumption by up to 10%, saving 1 liter per 100 kilometers. This translates to savings of approximately 2,500 RON per year! For vans or trucks that consume much more fuel and cover greater distances, the savings can be even higher. A clean DPF filter protects the engine and its components from issues. A clogged filter can cause damage to the differential pressure sensor, affect the turbocharger, exhaust valves, Lambda sensors, and more. All these parts are expensive (for example, a medium-quality aftermarket Lambda sensor costs about 400 RON, and turbocharger refurbishment can reach up to 5,000 RON, etc.).
CLEANING POWER
GerTechTeile DPF has an extremely efficient cleaning power and has been specially developed to react only with hydrocarbon deposits and ash, allowing for a quick application. The procedure itself takes about 30 minutes, but with measurements, disassembly, reassembly, and further measurements, it may take around 1 hour. Even at 1 hour, this cannot be compared to the days spent in a service center with procedures that might lead to damage of old bolts affected by high temperatures, rust, or human error. It is no longer mandatory to remove the filter from the vehicle, although in some cases, due to the filter's position (horizontal) or its model (e.g., on trucks), this operation is necessary. There are methods for pressure injection of the solution to increase efficiency in such situations or the use of an activator that enhances the reaction power, but usually, only service units have such equipment.
REDUCED CONSUMPTION
Diesel vehicles are favored by owners for their fuel efficiency but are not the best option for nearly exclusive city driving without highway trips. For such vehicles, preventive cleaning with GerTechTeile DPF is recommended every 50,000 kilometers or annually, regardless of engine capacity. Assuming that all components causing the DPF filter blockage (clogging) have been addressed, after cleaning with GerTechTeile DPF, you can expect the vehicle to perform as if it had a new filter, without paying the substantial costs for replacement.
COST SAVINGS
In cases of "melted" filters, after a cleaning with GerTechTeile DPF, even if we cannot remove the melted part of the filter (typically the core/middle), cleaning the other parts (sides) can achieve an acceptable value, below the fault threshold that triggers the "Check Engine" light, allowing you to pass any emissions test legally. These extreme cases should be approached with caution, as there are no guarantees of success. It is an attempt to address an expensive issue that may or may not work. Before deciding to replace the DPF filter definitively, it is worth trying the GerTechTeile DPF solution, as it could save you a lot of money if it works.
VISIBLE RESULTS
Replacing the DPF filter with a new one (either original or aftermarket): If you decide to replace the DPF filter (with or without trying the GerTechTeile DPF solution), there are a few things you should know: It is recommended to use a new, original filter! There is a rational explanation for why aftermarket DPF filters are so inexpensive, which relates to the quality of materials and the amount of precious metals used in these filters. If you decide to purchase a second-hand original DPF filter, it can be an option, but we recommend cleaning it with GerTechTeile DPF before installation, especially since it is already removed, as this enhances efficiency and yields more visible results! Any DPF cleaning or replacement should be accompanied by the replacement of the differential pressure sensor, which is the first component to suffer when the DPF filter has issues. This sensor is designed to operate within certain parameters/values, and when the DPF filter becomes clogged, the resulting pressure almost always miscalibrates the differential pressure sensor. This sensor sends information to the ECU (the vehicle's main computer), which, based on this information and other factors, decides the fuel mixture, ignition timing, valve timing, etc., making it a very important factor.
